welcome to my new weekly post titled "flashback friday". every week i'll post an old school photo that i'm sure will put a smile on your face, in some cases give you a good laugh!
here's the first one!
here dennis & i are in bismarck on july 21, 1992. we each went with friends to go to the mc hammer/tlc/boysIImen concert. that was the first time i had ever smelled pot. i couldn't figure out why this arena smelled like stinky socks until someone told me what it was. anyway, don'tcha just love our outfits?? dennis was all about the teal/purple ~ those were the colors for his boxing trunks when he turned pro. i loved those guess shorts & still have them. i know, i'll never fit in them again, but those are just one of those things i don't want to get rid of.
hope you enjoyed flashback friday!
beware...YOU may just make the cut if we knew you back in the day...

mc hammer explains the hair, which is not actually all that bad. speaking of pot, that better be a contact high in my little brother's eyes!!!
Thank you for clarify that this photo was taken in Bismarck. The backdrop didn't reveal much in the way of location. It's all clear now.
Oh and that better be an idle threat at the end of your post. I have incriminating photos in my possession too. But nothing as interesting as this photo. Please tell me you don't wear those shorts anymore.
wow! You guys look GREAT! Can't wait to see more pictures!
Jen,
I'm with Nate PLEASE say you don't wear those shorts anymore! I will say I noticed your teeny tiny waist in them though, and I'm surprised your mom let you leave the house in that top~haha Dennis looks SO young too! thanks for sharing I look forward to more like this, and so glad I won't have to worry about making an appearacne in any of those photos!
Nice :)
setting the record straight on a few things:
1. no one in our group was the "pot-heads"
2. no, i don't wear those shorts anymore even though i still have them. i paid $50 for them & it's hard to break ties with something that proves i was that skinny once
3. yep nate, you better be on the look-out, i'm going after you one of these days :)
4. i doubt my parents knew i even had that top - it was the only time i ever wore it - i obviously didn't dare to wear it in their presence! more kids these days should respect their parents enough to NOT wear skimpy things in front of them - i know, that's a bit hypocritical
5. rissa, thanks for the kinda compliment about the hair - i guarantee i've got some wigged out 'dos that will make ya laugh
anyway, glad you enjoyed it!
It occurred to me, that it may be LOOOOOOVE in his eyes!!!
OK, this is the "MOM" and I certainly have not ever seen that top before!
By the way, who gave you that perm :)
All I can say is FUNNY!!!
I can't wait to hear what Isaac says about this photo when he's a teenager! ;-) Love the shorts, they were so stylin'
Great idea for a weekly post!
This is quite funny. You made my day! And even though I was only in second grade when this picture was taken...I still remember mc hammer etc.
I'm so behing aren't I? That picture is HILLARIOUS! And I have a few pieces of clothing I KNOW I'll never wear again but I still keep them...why??? I'll never understand why I do it :)
Thanks again for the pac n play and sorry it took me so long to return. I was SICK (wed.-now) and finally had Tom run it over. Thanks again!
Jen, I thought that for sure this picture was taken in the Southwinds apartments in Grand Forks...those nondescript brown doors seemed so familiar! I love flashback Friday! More please!!
